Project Background
Our client is a well-established food manufacturing company based in the United States. As part of their ongoing product improvement and supplier optimization plan, they decided to replace their previous packaging supplier. Their goal was to create a custom 300ml square seasoning glass jar that exactly matches the size and design of their existing model, but with higher quality and more reliable supply.
The client first reached out to us through our official website on May 7, 2025, submitting a detailed inquiry that included complete bottle dimensions, material specifications, and sample photos of their current packaging. They were very clear about wanting an identical replacement for their existing spice storage bottle with a 304 stainless steel lid, featuring their logo silk printed on top.
Challenges
1. Matching the Original Design
One of the biggest challenges was to reproduce a glass airtight seasoning jar that was identical to the client’s existing product, both in appearance and dimensions. To ensure precision, we asked the client to send us their original sample for reference. In return, we sent our own sample bottles and stainless steel lids for them to evaluate our product quality.
After receiving our samples, the client did not request any modifications — a clear indication that they were satisfied with our glass clarity, weight, and finish. Once we received their spice jar sample, our engineering team immediately began working on the technical drawings for the new custom 300ml glass herb storage bottle for seasoning. Meanwhile, our sourcing department identified an exactly matching stainless steel lid made from 304-grade steel, ensuring the same fit and sealing performance as the original.
2. Tight Delivery Schedule
The second challenge was the tight delivery timeline. After multiple rounds of discussion and confirmation with the client, we finalized the mold-making and sampling plan. To meet their schedule, we created a detailed timeline:
Mold development: 20 days
Sample production: 10 days
Sample shipping to client: 10 days
Mass production (after approval): 20 days
Air freight delivery: 15 days
Sea freight delivery: 30 days
Project Progress
After three days of design work, the client presented the drawings with flawless results. They immediately signed and agreed to pay for the mold and proofing process. After 20 days of mold fabrication, Newray successfully arranged pre-production samples. Upon receiving the samples, the client was extremely satisfied with the material color, product appearance, and dimensions. The first order was for 60,000 units, a three-month supply. While production of the bulk shipment has been completed, the client urgently needs the goods, so they decided to airfreight 3,000 units to the United States to ensure shelf availability.
We look forward to building a long-term partnership with this U.S. customer and continuing to supply them with premium spice glass bottles and seasoning glass jars that meet their exact requirements.
