A small craft distiller in New Zealand found us through an online search. His first inquiry came with an ambitious request: a custom vodka bottle based entirely on a concept rendering. The image looked simple at first glance—but the reality was anything but.
The design called for a rectangular custom vodka bottle with four sharp corner facets. The base had to include a four‑pyramid recess to hold an LED sticker. One side was frosted. The front face had cutouts that revealed a star pattern on the opposite side. And that opposite side, when viewed directly, had to show the same frosted finish as the side. To complete the vision, the stars were meant to shine through like a night sky.
Our design team studied the drawing carefully. Individually, each effect was achievable: frosting, cutouts, faceted corners, a recessed base, even a star‑pattern decal. But combining front‑side stars with back‑side frosting on the same bottle – while maintaining the transparency of the stars when lit – was something we had never attempted.
We did not want to disappoint the client. Instead of saying no, we proposed a practical path: first develop the luxury vodka bottle shape and mold. Then, once we had physical samples, experiment with the decorative finishes to see what could be achieved.
The client approved the initial drawings and paid the mold fee. We produced the sample mold quickly and ran a batch of trial premium glass vodka bottles. The first samples were shipped to New Zealand. His feedback was honest: the effect was not yet what he had imagined. He sent back revised design files.
Our team went back to work. We adjusted the production approach multiple times. Each trial brought us closer. The challenge was balancing the frosted areas with the clear star cutouts so that the stars would glow through when the LED sticker behind the base was activated.
After several rounds of testing and refinement, we finally achieved the right combination. The bottle held its faceted shape, the frosted surfaces were smooth and even, and the stars appeared crisp from the front. Then came the real test. The client placed the LED sticker into the recess at the base and turned it on in a dark room. The result was breathtaking—a brilliant starry night effect that exceeded every expectation.
He sent us a simple message: a thumbs-up.
This project reminded me that the most rewarding work often begins with a design that seems impossible. The client had a bold vision. We had the technical knowledge and the willingness to experiment. Instead of giving up after the first failed sample, we kept refining.
In the end, the bottle did not just hold liquid. It held a story—of imagination meeting craftsmanship, and of a small distiller’s dream brought to life, one trial at a time.

Application
750ml glass vodka bottles are widely used for premium vodka, craft spirits, flavored vodka, and private-label alcoholic beverages. The standard 750ml capacity is ideal for retail distribution, bars, restaurants, duty-free stores, and gift collections. High-quality clear or flint glass provides excellent transparency, allowing brands to showcase the purity and clarity of the vodka while creating a premium visual impression. Custom bottle shapes, thick glass bases, embossing, frosting, screen printing, and decorative finishes can help strengthen brand identity and shelf appeal. These bottles can be paired with cork, T-top, screw, or custom closures to create distinctive packaging solutions for both established and emerging vodka brands.
